Welcome to winter and the beginning of a new year with Coast Connections. The AGM was held on a beautiful Saturday on 5 June 2010. Thanks to Judy Tucker (President) and Kim Mead (Treasurer) and other committee members for the work they have done leading up to now. We would not exist without these volunteers.

The newly elected committee is

Kim Meade – Treasurer
Jo Fairfield – Committee
Jan Heath – Committee

We have decided to share the workload and involve wider participation in the organization of events therefore there is a sub-committee of volunteers who will be hosting events on a monthly rostered schedule. Thanks to Julie, Maxi, Ricky, Jan B., Ros, Di, Carol, Barbara S.
Toni and Liz will also be assisting on our Italian night and if you feel you would like to be involved in an event, just let me know.

Yearly Membership Donation Due
The yearly membership donation is only $12.00.
This $1.00 a month fee enables us to run on the smell of an oily rag and have lots of fun times together. Please send cheque or money order payable to M Meade

Movies
Where: Robina Town Centre Cinemas
When: Tuesday 29 June
Time: 12.00pm
Info: meet in food court near McDonalds (no you don’t have to eat McDonalds!)
Meet before the movie for dinner or coffee.
Choose from the range of movies available at the time. Rsvp Monday 28 June

Italian Night
Yes, an encore performance after the success of last year – Mama Mia!
Where: Gayle’s house, 11 Mapia Rise, Pacific Pines (exit 66 Gaven)
When: Saturday 10 July
Time: 6.30pm
Price: $10.00 members, $15.00 non-members
You are welcome to renew your memberships on the night.
Info: Due to catering it is very important to rsvp by Thursday 8 July at the latest. Please byo chair, drinks and cup (non glass preferable).

Time: 10.00am

   Hi
   I am wondering if you could tell me more about the Italian night I saw advertised on your site for July. I wouldn’t know anyone and am single so I am wondering if I would be brave enough to attend and if it would be appropriate.
   I have been on the Coast for a while but barely know a soul, so am trying to change that
